إن أردتم أن تكونوا شامة بين الورى ..فاقتفوا آثار جيل للمعالي سطرا
-If you wish to be prominent amongst all others
-Then track the trails of a generation that planned and outlined for excellence
جيل زيد وأسيد ومعاذ والبراء..
-The generation of Zaid (bin Thabit), Usaid (bin Hudhair), Mu'ath (bin Jabal) & Al-Bara' (bin Malik) - May Allah Be Pleased With Them All
هم نجوم في الدياجي وعلى الباغي رجوم...هم بدور قد تجلت لاتواريها الغيوم
-They were like stars in the darkness and on the unjust they were falling comets
-They are clear full moons with no clouds to disrupt visibility
كلهم جد وعزم كلهم غيث عميم
-They all were Hardwoking & Determined -They were a Rain that fell on all
طلقوا الدنيا وعاشوا في نواحيها مشاعل ..ملئوا الأرض سلاماً وعلوماً وفضائل
-They divorced life and lived as torches of guidance on its various aspects
-They filled earth with peace, sciences & virtues
وهدوا كل ضليل عن هدى الإسلام مائل
-They guided every misguided, those who had gone astray from the path of submission (Islam)
فمتى ياقوم نبني فمتى فمتى .. ما بأيدينا هدمنا فمتى فمتى
-So, O people when will we rebuild...So, when?...So, When?
-What we have by our own hands destroyed...So, when?...So, when?
ليس يجدينا التباهي بخبيب والمثنى .. لن يزيل البغي عنا قولنا كنا وكنا
-Just boasting about Khubaib (ibn 'udayy) & Al-Muthana (ibn al-harith) will gain us nothing May Allah Be Pleased With Them Both
-Injustice will not be removed from us by saying "We were this"..."We were that"..
